30-Hour Famine:

Spotlight on Sri Lanka,
Focus on Global Hunger!

Since the beginning of 2021, the world has been hit hard by global conflicts, COVID-19 pandemic and the climate crisis. The situation is worsening in many hunger hotspots around the world, including Sri Lanka, the island nation that declared bankruptcy in 2022. The country suffers from a nationwide 13-hour daily power cuts, inability to purchase fuel, and those living in poverty cannot afford three meals a day…

This year, as we continue our fight against global hunger, let’s care for Sri Lanka, and build a better future together!

STRIKE OUT HUNGER!

Nobody wants to be born into poverty. But the good news is, change is possible. A seed of hope can germinate even in the poorest conditions. No matter how dire a situation may be, we believe love has the power to overcome adversities and create miracles. Participate in the 30-Hour Famine and “Strike Out Hunger!” with us! Let’s believe in what is possible and make miracles happen!

The 30-Hour Famine will be conducted fully in-person this year. We invite you, your family and friends to rewrite the life stories of vulnerable children and communities, and build a world free of hunger together!

30-Hour Famine Ambassador

Singer-songwriter Victor Wong started his career as part of a popular duo, touching countless fans with his heartfelt songs. After going solo in 2000, he went on to release hits like ‘Duty of Loving You’, ‘Door Unlocked’ and ‘See You Today’. Victor’s warm voice has established him as a well-loved singer of love songs in the global Chinese pop music scene.

We believe that Victor’s warmth and positive energy will inspire others to bring blessings and hope to those in need. Conflict, climate change and COVID-19 have left people around the world struggling for survival, but Victor says: “If we keep believing and give it our all, we can help children and communities to ‘Strike Out Hunger’!”
